and the Williams County Soil Conservation District is hosting our second annual
farm to table dinner
Join us for a fun filled evening enjoying a
farm to table meal, locally produced beverages and talk to local producers —
all while learning about agriculture in our region!
This event will provide Williston community members the opportunity to learn about agriculture in our region and will feature remarks from local producer, Shauna Farver who farms with her husband on their 4th generation farm in northeastern Montana. We will also hear from Beau Anderson who is a 20 year owner/operator of AmBeau Farms and District 1 Representative in the ND House, David Richter!
The dinner is designed to increase awareness and education about the importance of the local agriculture industry and its products to the broader Williston community! We hope you join us.

Meet OUR local speakers
SHAUNA FARVER
Shauna Farver farms with her husband on their 4th generation in northeastern Montana. They raise wheat, lentils, field peas, corn, barley and hay on their 3,225 acre farm and run a herd of 100 Black Angus cow-calf pairs. In addition to farming for the traditional commodity market, Shauna and her husband began a direct to consumer business called Farver Farms Dry Mixes. They market a lentil cruncher snack mix, a lentil brownie mix and a spicy lentil chicken salad mix as well as barley and wheat soup and salad mixes. Shauna is an avid advocate for agriculture and rural America through her blog, speaking engagements and fundraising activities.

David Richter
Richter has served in the House since 2019. He currently serves on the Agriculture and Education Committees. His interim committees are Education Policy, Higher Education and during the 2021 Special Session was one of eight House members who served on the Joint Technical Corrections Committee. Richter is the current Executive Director for the Williston Council for the Aging. He is a retired educator and education administrator.
He was the director of the GNW REA in Northwest North Dakota and the Director of the Williston Area Teacher Center. Prior to that he was the Interim Dean Career and Tech Ed at Williston State College. In his 20 year career at WSC he was also the Director of Instructional Programs and faculty in the department of Humanities/Social Science.
David was the Vice-chairman of North Dakota State Board of Public Education and also served on the North Dakota State Board for Career and Technical Education.
David earned his BS from Minot State, an MS from Wayne State College and did his post-masters work in curriculum and instruction at the University of Wyoming.
Beau anderson
Beau Anderson is a 20 year owner and operator of AmBeau Farms. He has a Bachelors degree in Agriculture Education with 13 years teaching experience. Beau has served on multiple farm grower organization boards over the last 25 years and is committed to serving Williams county rural district to the best of his ability!
