LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear members and friends,

The Williston Area Chamber of Commerce (WACC) strives to foster connection, engagement, leadership, and growth within the business community. What I did not expect was the impact that WACC and its members would have on me in these areas. The warmth, acceptance, and support that I felt from the community and all of you is unparalleled in all of my professional experiences, and for that, I must extend a huge “thank you”!

It is bittersweet that I now announce that I will be leaving the chamber at the end of August to pursue a new and exciting opportunity. Following the approval of the Williston City Commission on August 13, I will be assuming the role of Williston Economic Development Executive Director in September.

While it is with a heavy heart that I step away from the chamber, I am comforted to know that we will still be working hand-in-hand to continue to support businesses, create opportunities, and foster a thriving economic landscape both now and well into the future.

Thank you all for allowing me to serve as your president and to lead this incredible organization over the past two years.

Thank you to my incredible team members over the years for bringing new perspectives, goals and talents to the chamber. Thank you to my board of directors for both the chamber and the Western Star Foundation for putting your faith in me and supporting the team’s vision. Thank you to all of our committee members, ambassadors, volunteers, and other supporters. None of our events, programs, and accomplishments would have been possible without you. And thank you to the community for cheering us on every step of the way.

I leave with full confidence that our team and board of directors will continue to carry out our mission and vision and support you for years to come.

This is definitely not “goodbye,” it is “see you later,” and I anticipate our paths crossing again as I take on this new role.

Whatever you do, continue to connect, engage, lead, and grow.

With so much gratitude,

Anna Nelson
