DIRECTOR

Helen Askim, Williams County Administrator, started her career at Williams County in 1997 as the Administrative Assistant in the Veterans Service Office.  Over her 27+ year career at Williams County she has served in many roles including Director of the IT, HR and Communications Departments.   She’s served as instructor of the public speaking module within the Chamber’s Leadership Williston Program since 2016 and is the Chair of the Education and Leadership Committee.  Helen graduated from Minot High School and Minnesota State University Moorhead before moving to Williston with her husband Chad and welcoming two sons into their family.   Helen serves in a volunteer role with community organizations including Entertainment, Inc!, Williston TubaChristmas, Williston Basin Curling Club, First Lutheran Church and The CVB Band Day Committee.
