he Williston Area Chamber of Commerce invites the community to attend the
2026 Primary Election Candidate Forum, part of the Chamber’s Policies & Pastries informational series.

This two-night forum is designed to give Williams County voters a clear and accessible opportunity to
learn about the candidates seeking public office ahead of the June 9, 2026 Primary Election.

2026 Primary Election Candidate Forum

SCHEDULE:

  • Tuesday, May 5: North Dakota State Legislature and Williams County contests

  • Wednesday, May 6: City of Williston Mayor/Commission and Williston Park Board contests

Forum Format

Each forum will follow a structured format to ensure fairness and clarity:

  • One-minute opening remarks per candidate

  • Up to two minutes per question

  • One-minute closing statements

Questions will be moderated and may be submitted in advance through the Chamber website.

Moderators

  • May 5: Mitch Melberg, Chamber President & CEO

  • May 6: Lindsey Harriman, Williams County Community Engagement Coordinator and Chamber Policy Committee Chair

The Candidate Forum is intended to support informed voting by providing voters with a direct look at each candidate’s background, priorities, and platform.
