MISSION: The Williston Area Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to advancing the exceptional economic growth of the greater Williston area, fostering a community where people want to live and thrive, not just work.

Seats opening in January 2025

  • 2-year term beginning January 2025

    • Eligible for second 2-year term beginning January 2027

REQUIREMENTS

  • Williston Area Chamber of Commerce member in good standing (individual or employer)

  • Desire to support all Chamber members, the entire business community, and the region as a whole to foster growth

  • Understanding of the Chamber’s role in the community and its mission and a passion to move that forward

  • Team player mentality

  • Ability to meet the expectations below

EXPECTATIONS: This is a working board and all members’ active involvement is crucial to the success of the organization and its events and programs

  • Time

    • Expected to attend:

      • One (1) board meeting per month

        • Second Tuesday of every month

      • Eight (8) events per year plus the Annual Banquet (last Friday in January)

        • Events could include but are not limited to:

          • Business After Hours: Second Thursday of every month

          • Brew Your Business: Second Wednesday of every month

          • NonProfit Bootcamp Webinars (quarterly)

          • Lunch & Learns (quarterly)

          • Mental Health First Aid (quarterly)

          • Lemonade Day (May)

          • Farm to Table (July)

          • Women in Leadership Expo (September)

  • Talents

    • Volunteer to help with at least one of the four (4) large Chamber events

    • What talents/skills do you have that will help advance the Chamber’s mission? We want people from various backgrounds, industries, and with various skill sets to perhaps help us identify a new way to serve our members and the community

  • Treasures

    • Our board members are our biggest supporters, so their help in sponsoring (as individuals or through their employers), securing sponsorships for events, and spreading the word is essential to the ongoing success of the Chamber’s events and programming
